My wife and I had purchased a lot from Steve Gabaldon and when it came time to build our new house, I asked Steve if he would consider being my general contractor on the house. In truth I have known Steve for many years through business relationship and had always admired his work ethic. Also I would be building on a lot that was right in front of his house so selfishly I knew he would want it to look real good. Steve agreed and we began construction in June of 2015 and were we ever glad we had asked Steve to be our general, he helped us with so many decisions that we had to make and he checked on the progress of our home every day to keep it on track. The last home we had built was 30 years previous so we were needing a lot of help and Steve never hesitated to talk with us on any of our questions nor to offer suggestions when we just were not sure which way to go. Six months later we were moving into our new home and we were not stressed out and mad as you see so many people are after construction. We were so happy and in love with our new home and now three years later we are even happier, we cannot think of one thing we would change in the house and are forever grateful to Steve Gabaldon for the job he did for us. If you are looking to have a custom home built here in San Juan County, we strongly recommend Steve.

I purchased a home in 2017 in Farmington from SJ Gabaldon Construction and highly recommend Steve to all. The experience was awesome and very customer focused. Steve Gabaldon, owner/CEO and his team worked with me from beginning to end (signing my closing documents). I'm a first time home owner and this was new to me. Today, I'm very satisfied and happy in my new home. It began when I looked at a few homes around Farmington. The area I chose is a fairly new developed SJ Gabaldon community. When looking at existing/built homes there, they were nice, but didn't meet my needs. Steve Gabaldon, owner/CEO met with me and he built my home from ground up to meet my needs. This included, the entire lay out of the home, increasing square footage. I was actively involved in the whole process of the building. Steve took me to the paint store, the cabinet store, and I chose a specific type of patio door. I selected everything in this home, from outlet locations, the master closet was essential, he configured the size and I selected the shelf locations, I also had the width of the hallway widened, chose light fixtures, hardwood floor, carpet, counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms, paint color, cabinets, and had a kitchen island installed with utility outlets; even the roof tile color and the stucco color (my choice to use stucco). Then Steve "threw in" the landscaping. Even that was an experience, working with the contract Nursery in selecting plants/flowers and where they would be located in the front and back yard. Working with Steve was awesome, he was very focused and ensured my home was to my satisfaction. Steve and Amanda you are awesome! Gabaldon Construction built my home 3 years ago. Working with Steve was amazing. His years of experience was perfect for us because we had no idea what we were doing. He advised us from the beginning starting with plans all the way through till the final touches. He took a personal interest in every decision.
